I just picked this up from a house right of Historic Route 66 in Glendora. This was originally bought new by the ladies grandfather who played in a band. My first thought was that it was a Conical Bore Cornet as I have Rehomed a number of those to musicians over the years with the rotary valve key changer.
But then I started looking at the lead pipe and the rest of the design and have no idea what it is. or why it is. I did some initial research and Couturier did make Continuous Conical Bore Branded Flugelhorns during this time frame, 1921, but no pics.. This thing is in stunning physical condition.. valve is stuck along with slides but will carefully fix that..
