Re-homed to a musician in Alabama who has several Boston Cornets. ----- I am letting Eva Marie out of the closet. This is a wonderful piece of musical history. The photos are of her holding this cornet in her band uniform and then with the band she was in. Early 1900's. This Cornet is absolutely beautiful. It did suffer an injury that dented the underside of the bell in which should be a pretty straight forward fix. The other small dents will come out easily. It plays well though the pistons could definitely use polishing.
It comes with the original case, 2 mouthpieces, alternate tuning slide, lead pipe and a little can for slide grease. I really hate to see this go but I want Eva's cornet to have the privilege of playing somewhere by someone again.
A little history lesson on the Boston Musical Instrument Company
Make me an offer, I won't get offended.
